Default Gas prices..

You know, being the good-hearted human being that I am, I am willing to switch engines with a GT owner so that s/he may raise MPG in this time of ridiculous gas prices.

When I want to drive a car that is good on gas and isn't much fun to drive, I'll take my wife's civic..... other than that I'll keep my GT

I haven't noticed that much difference between my 05 V6 and the 06 GT I have now, true I can make the gas milage go away with a healthly push on the gas peddle, but driving normal it get's 22/23 mpg

Won't be long til we are like Japan and Europe paying $5 a gallon. I'll always keep a mucsle car of some type as long as I can but soon their might be a diesel or hybrid parked next to it. I'd love to see diesel cars take off here in the states like they have over the rest of the world. They are quiet, efficent, and can be pretty peppy. I think a 330d would give most stock stangs a serious run for their money. Biodiesel seems like a cool idea as well. Not a particular fan of hybrids or E85 but I guess they work. We need to do something as a nation because I don't see gas prices ever going under 2.00 a gallon again. I'm not a tree hugger but I'm not gonna be paying $90 to fill my tank every week. $40 is bad enough.

I think the awful reality is that we are in total denial that there hasn't been runaway inflation...

gas, corn, eggs, milk, beef, copper, iron, aluminum, gold, houses! - you name your commodity it has jumped 50% or far more in price...

So, you can take comfort (or not) in the reality that very shortly we will all realize that $90 IS yesterday's $40...

But that is a rant for another forum...

Why do you have to cloud our gasoline fueled anger with facts?

I have to pay a whopping 6.75 for a gallon of the cheapest crappiest gas there is. Go to the station you want your fuel from, and a grade higher and you pay more than 7 bucks a gallon, in some cases even going towards 8.

Europe, and in particular the country I am from (the Netherlands) is horrid gas price wise.

I am sorry, but you guys have it easy… And after today I hope I can say the same coming 9th of October. (I have my visa interview today)
