Pretty sure it was a '96-98 based on the hood, front grill and side emblem; looked like it had been lowered too.

He pulled up behind me as I was about to get onto the Interstate. When we reached the on-ramp I punched it. He came after me but I was pulling away. It was a long on-ramp, then I had to merge with a little traffic so I lost him for a minute. The far left lanes were open so I jumped across. When I looked in the rearview he was already in the left lane coming on but again I pulled away. I don't know how hard he was pushing it but it definitely felt like I had the edge. I slowed to let him catch up but then he backed off, moved back over to the right, then exited a few miles later.

I just looked up the numbers on the stock '96 Cobra and it looks like I definitely had the edge in power.

Friend of mine has a 96, he calls it the "Slobra" for a reason. Unless he is spraying it is kind of a pig compaired to today's standards.

lol; i had some kid fly up my *** in a civic(lol; no cobra) on the intstate while i was doign 70; he went to pass me and boom...3rd gear...GOOD BYEEEE!

My brother drives a 95" he claims it was the slowest Cobra ever made. He claims it is slower than the old fox body LX's. His is modified nicely and even when I was stock it wasn't up to the task. Now he will not even run me. I guess it is his way of keeping face, and it's all good. They are nice looking cars though.
