Default Axle Gear Ratio for '06 GT?

Hi all,
can anyone tell me the ratio on the stock 2006 GT 4.6? Auto trans. I figured it would be 4.10...but not sure. The door axle code says "CG".

cool...so for an upgrade, would you recommend 3.73, 4.10, or something else? Not gonna be a dragster, but I want torque and speed.

I'll probably go with the 3.73 as a compromise for better mileage and less wear and tear. If thats not a consideration for you and you just want the acceleration by all means go 4.10.

4.10s are great for the city and even decent on the hwy. There are even alot of guys running 4.30s. Mileage isn't too bad with 4.10s either at around 22-24 mpg hwy.

4.10s, you will loose 1 mpg if that and be 200 rpms up on 3.73s, stop listening to people with no gear experience

Yes, because 17 year olds have more experience than anybody... The mileage decrease would depend on the type of driving that you do. If you do all city driving mileage decrease will be minimal, but on the highway it will be worse. I'm considering 3.73s for mine. Your situation sounds like mine: don't race much (if any), but would like to be a little quicker.

stop playing the age card, because you have no expereince with modern trannys

you will loose no more then 2 mpg on the highway with 4.10s, my buddies GT with 4.10s still gets better milage then my STOCK V-6

3.73s would be good for a twin screw, roots, or turbo, thats about it, spraying or a centri, i would still go with 4.10s

I want 4:10s'. Personally I don't want to pay $600 plus for 3:73s' when I have 3:55s' to begin with.
