I talked to John Mcgowan, he did not shave any of his weight on the 11.2 run. Although he did not break into the 10's. It was on the stock tranny. He doesn't have that anymore though, He's got a 2 sp powerglide.
That's what I thought, thanks for confirming. And there's no way that trans (glide) is a DD...lol

this is true, i have argued with him before, it was when he was a newb though . . .

i agree with him on how it seems really far fetched for 10psi KB to hit tens, but hey, i read the article, thats why i said it . . .

them guys run 11.2's with more in it for other reasons . . . most ppl run 11.5 or worse . . . i get his side . . . i was just sayin, they can do it, why can't i

Hey - we're not arguing!!...lol

Heck, I even said I hope you prove me wrong. It's the kind of thing I like being wrong about. I've already said it 'can' be done but even with the weight shaving, you are risking your motor with every crack at it and nobody can argue with that...lol

The main difference between you, me, and them is they have half a dozen motors ready to be replaced in a moments notice if they break one.

BTW - When I was a noob you didn't own your car...lol. I was ChevyKiller here a long time ago in a galaxy far, far... you get the idea...

ah, i see. . . yeah, not really arguing, but yeah, i could tell when you were a newb with the "ford fan boy" name. . . that you were too "well informed" for being a newb. . . it all makes sense now. . . HA HA

:-)

yeah, i think im gonna go with the Kenne Bell, but yeah, before i up the boost, gotta get a forged shortblock . . .

but it will be 8 psi for a while until i get that shortblock heh . . .
