It was close!
I was driving on a local street at25 mph, when an 18 year oldbacked out of his driveway like a maniacdirectly into my lane. Fortunately, I saw him in time to mash the brake pedal allowing the antilock brake systemto do its thing. I stopped on a dime, and the back of his car missed the front of mine bya foot. So I sat there until he pulled along side, and asked "Don't you look before you back out of your driveway?"
Him-> "I didn't see you."
Me-> "You didn't seemy bright yellow car?"
Him-> "No, the tree in my front yard was blocking my view."
Me-> "Then, shouldn't you back out more slowly if you cannot clearly see other cars traveling on this road?"
Him-> Silence. Either drunk or on dope.
Me-> "Fortunately, no one was hurt, and no damage was done. Be more careful next time(moron)."

It happened in my neighborhood, and I know thatthis kidjust graduated from high school.Sohe should be 18 years old. Unless he flunked a grade or two.

Every person that age is an idiot. I know because I was that age. Not sure I ever backed out like that kid though, i'd put him in the stupid idiot category.

I'm still kinda stupid, i was coming up to a green light and I needed to make a left. It was a not so busy highway and there was only 1 truck coming the other way and I wasn't planning on slowing down much to make the turn because I new the light was going to change soon. For some reason i was thinking I had a green arrow and i thought to myself, boy that truck isn't going to stop for the red light. Luckily I came to my senses and slowed down and the truck went by and i turned. Sometimes your mind just isn't in it.

We need to live a littlebefore we hit adulthood,
however i'm a no bull**** kinda person when it comes to my car and traffic safety.

Needless to say i'm very careful with my car.
