how easy is it to remove the snorkel on the side of the stock air box. got a drop in k&n filter and want to pull the snorkel off.

huh? If you're talking about popping the air box lid to access the filter, you just press in the tabs and unhook it from the dovetails...the snorkel connecting the tb to the airbox can be undone with aflat-head screwdriver, but why would you want to unhook it unless to gain access to something else? If you're looking for a factory air silencer to remove for a gain, there isn't one on these...not really sure what you're asking here...
p.s. that k&n drop in does JACK, besides eliminate the need for you to ever buy another filter. If I may be so bold, take it back and save up for a CAI/tune...sorry to be bossy...

yea. I took mine off as well as the honeycomb in the early 05 intakes.

Doesnt really do much tho.

richies197 thanks for being blunt. i know the drop in is not worth anything but i work at a dealership that has an account with o'reilly..i get parts at cost. spent about $35 on the filter. and the tunes and cai are coming within the next month or so. so got a new house so they had to take a back seat so a couple of weeks. i think i am getting the racer intake and tunes from ****.
