BBK cai no oil?

BBK cai no oil?
Hello all. I am installing my BBK cai right now. My question is that the new filter doesn't seem to have any oil on it. Should I oil it? I know that the after market filter I put on my F250 was still clean after 25K (and I hit the dirt alot) but I don't want to F it up. Thanks in advance for the help.

proven fact, don't oil it.they work better when you just shake them out about every 10000 miles or so.i'm in phz and have never oiled mine.dynoed great with the mods i have.your'er going to get all kinds of answers on this, but they do work better when they get dirty.

If the filter is blue or redit has oil on it. If it had no oil it'd be white.
And the oil is there to help trap dirt, with no oil you suck in more dust. I suppose dust is flamable so maybe it adds some hp.

holy crap. I race go karts and use huge k&n air cleaners. We ALWAYS oil them, no matter what. If i get a speck of crap in the carb, gotta send it back to the engine builder and shell out another grand and a half.
