Do you carry an extra belt with a SC?

If your S/C is installed properley, you shouldn't have problems throwing belts on a regular basis. This is indicative of a problem. I would still carry an extra belt and sufficient tools to replace it.

I carry a spare belt with me in my F-150 which is Supercharged. Personally I prefer to use the Goodyear Gatorback Belts they are much nicer belts and do not cost near what the Gates belts do. Just get the Gates number off your current belt head on over to Kragen and have them cross reference it.

With my Kenne Bell I carry an extra belt, tensioner and all the tools it takes to replace it (Just like American Express Don't leave home without it)

However, I'd like to note, I have not tossed a belt once since installing the KB.

RE: KB Shreded a belt.
I have the 2.4L Kenne bell on an 06 GT, I shreded a belt... Not powershifting!
It was after a little freeway fun with a STi. When I exited the freeway, about a mile down the road I felt the powersteering go out... then all the lights come on.
Kinda sucked, had to get towed. Still don't have a spare belt, but will be getting one soon.

I've been reading posts about belt problems with SC. How many of you have an extra belt in the trunk with a 1/2" breaker bar? Hopefully I won't have any issues, but a few have so that worries me.
Does anyone know a belt that can be used for the whipple besides the one whipple supplies? I read the whipple supplied belt made by dayco costs $89! Isn't that a bit excessive for a drive belt or is it just me?
