A/F o2 Sensor placement

RE: A/F o2 Sensor placement
I put mine on the drivers side in front of the converter because the wiring harness comes through the fire wall right next to it, just inside the fender liner. Makes it easy to run wiring to the gauge. You want it close to the flange but not right on it. 2-3" back is about right. If you want to read both sides of the engine accurately, then 2 sensors would be necessary. Although 1 sensor is sufficient.

Make sure you put it in the side that is FURTHEST away from the fuel supply. So, whichever fuel rail gets fuel second, is the side you want the wideband in. The reason being is that is the bank that will be running leanest. You also want to stay as close to the exhaust manifold as you can, but do NOT mount it in the manifold. Also make sure you mount the sensor per the directions in you wideband, and make 100% certain that your grounds are good ones. A poor ground can also skew your readings.
