Clutch Suggestions ?
After going to the track and only three passes my clutch is cooked. I barely made it home. Looking for clutch suggestions.. I am leaning towards the Spec 3+ and upgrading the input shaft to 26spline. I am also looking the Fidanza dual disc. Your suggestions/comments are appreciated....Vic

RE: Clutch Suggestions ?
I have the spec 3+ ( it;'s actually called the super twin, rated for more HP than the 3+) I love it and I cooked my stock clutchat the track too. The 3+ or "super twin" is a stiff clutch but will break in over time. I haven't had the clutch long enough to properly break it in to justify abusing it at the track until just late last week. i know that it was well worth the mony, I stayed with the 10 spline shaft but we'll see if it holds.

RE: Clutch Suggestions ?
All this talk of cooked clutches makes me not want to go to the track. I think i'm going to wait till the beginning of January and put in a new clutch. I won't have vacation again until then and I want to install it myself.
You think if I go to the track and just leave at idle i'll still smoke my stock clutch? I won't run any great times, but atleast I could see what kinda trap speeds I'll get.

RE: Clutch Suggestions ?
I am running the Spec's 2+ clutch/flywheel, very happy with it, if the Spec's 3+ feel similiar I think you will like it. It drives very much like stock. If I were you I would call Spec's they are pretty straight forward, tell them what you have and they should be able to help.
