Well, they're not a must. i don;t know of anyone breaking their driveshaft, but if you want to be extra ****, then a front loop is suggested. If you have a cross member brace, like I do on my vert, you can re-install it in it's original position above the exhaust pipes with some spacer washers. This will function as a front loop.

Supposed to be here today, going to install tomorrow---shouldn't be a problem. Been a mechanic for years, and have all the tools(air powered too).
lol never mind then. one thing, i wish i would have just bought a new differential cover and new lube at the same time of the driveshaft install. lost about half a quart or so when changing the pinion flange.

By far one of the best mods to date for me, along with CAI, tune and gears. Ron knows his shafts

Just got it in--this is one nice unit[8D]. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a replacement. I highly recommend air tools, and a puller to remove the pinion flange--I had mine out not even 2months ago when I installed 4.10s, and this thing gets stuck like nobodys business.

If you can't get a puller, a 3lb short handle sledge hammer does the trick everytime.

Spydershaft is awesome. Was very easy to install. Keep in mind that some tracks require a front safety loop in order to run slicks, so if you ever plan on investing in slicks, you might as well install the front safety loopwhile you have the driveshaft out.
