Default shift stick

i like the stock shift stick, but i love the old cue ball shift *****. i want to throw one on the shift stick thats there now, but i feel like that it would look too stubby. can i just buy a stick without having to put in a short throw shifter (for my summer job i drive dump trucks, so i like longer throws since im not racing and i dont need short throws). any suggestions on this technically and cosmetically? im horrible at picturing in my head what something will look like

yeah i actually think it will look quite nice, do they sell the actual sticks for it? (theres probably a more technical term for it, i just am drawing a blank right now, the metal part that is right under the ball and goes down to the linkage)

It will look and feel great.
And there are so many custom billiard ***** out there it's not funny.
From sports teams to military insignias, to cartoon characters and pinup girls, it's amazing.

Here's what I did.
I had the Raiders **** made for a friend.

Link to some custom billiard ******: http://www.customcueballs.com/samples.html
