Default XCalibrator 2 question

I'm the proud new owner of a Breenspeed XCalibrator 2. I thought that it could change the default setting on the traction control so that it would be in the off position when you turned on the car. But I'll be ****** if I can figure out how to do it. Is this possible?

you cant......

the tune itself can be built to have it off.... you'll need Brenspeed to send u a new tune with that built in

no you cant, Brenspeed would have to shut it off in the tune, if you have this done you would not be able to just press the button to get it back, it would be permanent.

I think tuners are reluctant to do this because of the possible liability. In general, defeating "safety" features isn't a good long term corporate strategy. (Kid loses control of his stang on a wet road, runs over the nuns and children, plaintiff's lawyer goes after the tuner that turned off the TCS 'permanently').

There was actually a company that had a prototype of a relay/switch what would remember the on/off status of the TCS and keep it set there even when the car was turned off/on (e.g. if you turned off TCS it would stay that way until you pressed the dash button again). Never brought to market. I suspect for legal reasons because I think they could have sold a crapload of them.
