Default Rebuilding the Engine.

Does anyone here that has done it has pictures or is there a thread, please don't blame i think my search bottom isn't working right. i getting motivated on tearing down my engine completely and built it back with forged internals. probably bore it a little bit, port heads do cams... and whatever else i can do. i know this would take some time since I'll do it my self of course with a couple of visits to the local machine shop. so i was wondering if there is someone that has already done it and has the whole saga on pics, threads or vids. i would appreciate your help, comments and also I'm planning on going turbo also. I'm not looking to buy a whole engine or heads but building mine. thanks

FordFanBoy has some experience with various setups. His engine went, and I think he had one built... Plus he has some knowledge/experience on different types of turbos/superchargers that he's used. Might be able to help you out?

I've built about 10-15 Yamaha YZF engines, and I can say that with just the manual and all the right tools, it could still be a bit tricky. There are some photos in that shop manual that are absolutely terrible, and the only way to figure out what to do is have someone knowledgeable show you. However, with a good manual and all the right tools, I don't think it would be bad at all.

Its not that bad of a process if you have some mechanical ability. Just make sure you take your time and make tons of notes about how you take it apart and then slowly put it back together piece by piece with the new stuff.Pick up a manual and make sure you gap and torque everything to spec.*Having the right tools will make a world of diffrence I wouldnt attempt it without them, simple hand tools wont do the trick.

Do you mean aftermarket parts? If not, why?

I really would like to go High Compression with a 322 forged rotating assembly, not sure what the specs are on the assembly though and what are its compression numbers. Also, not sure if the 322 assembly will require additional boring of the cylinders.
