Does reloading a tune really fix anything?

Does reloading a tune really fix anything?
I'm having a few problems with my Bamachips race tune. The engine light is coming on and it says that its running lean. If I clear it while the car is running, it does not return until I turn off the car and restart it. I'm reading alot of people saying that reloading the stock tune, then reloading the custom tune can sometimes fix problems. I loaded my Bamachips tune over a Diablosport canned tune and NOT the stock tune. Should I try reloading the stock tune then loading the Bamachips tune? Or is this whole idea of reloading tunes useless.

Give it a shot, talking to Lidio he once told me that these car have an interactive learning curve and over time do learn the tunes habits and adjust.
He also said reloading the tune every now and then isn't a bad thing. Now I don't know if there is a difference between the Xcal and pred tuners thou.
GIve it a try and if it doesn't clear it up email Doug!

I disconnect my battery every 2 weeks and reflash it with my brenspeeds because I guess it's just a quirk I have. I like to think that it keeps it "fresh"
Hope it all works out for ya~

I reflashed back to stock then installed my Bama tune again while I was waiting for class. When I started the car back up it seemed to start up alot better then when I tried it right after installed the delete plates. Of coarse, this time the engine was already warm and before it was cold. This time again it idled rough for a few seconds then settled out. I assume it was relearning the idle or something.

Yes, the new tune is written for a C&L intake and CMCV deletes. I haven't gotten a response yet back from Bama. I probably should have tried reloading the tune before I sent him an email. But, I figure he'll just send me a tune that is a little more rich and running rich is safer than running lean.
I really want to get this tune sorted out quickly, I was hoping to get my UDP installed this week.

u may have to try starting from cold start up to really test it. but hope it works. so the new tune has the CMCV tune also in there?
