Default 12v Power Source

I just picked up my 2008 GT. I want to install a phone cradle for my iPhone but am not sure of where to locate a 12v power source. I'm not mechanically inclined at all and don’t want to ruin my new car. Hooking up the wires isn’t a problem once I know where to locate them, it's the location of them and how to take the dash apart that worries me. Is there some place online that I can find tips and pics or diagrams on this? (Should have paid more attention when my father tried to teach me this stuff when I was a kid!)

Yea if you search this site you'll find tips and pics. All you need to do is tap a fuse, I'd recommend switched. Try looking into radar detector installs people have done.

Exactly what I did. Used a fuse tap to get power to my V1. Looks great and no splicing was needed.
