In case any of you are interested, I placed an order today by phone with Summit Racing for (8) Champion #7989 plugs. The price I was quoted (and I asked a second time) was $4.95 each. Even with shipping & tax (I live in Ohio)the total came to $52.56.

The ladyI spoke with said they didn't have any right now, but that they had a "huge" order on the way. She also said she already had 56 orders (mine was #57). She wasn't sure when they'd be in, but thought it would be no more than 2-3 weeks. Just thought you'd like to know.

Thanks for the heads up Goldenpony ... Just ordered (8) Champion #7989's from Summit ... Should be here in a few weeks ... Crossing my fingers the existing plugs can be removed intact ... [sm=shades.gif]

Not sure. You might be able to order online.

sometimes summit and jegs dont do the same deals phone vs. internet, so I'd bet you have to call.

I just called my order in. And here's the rebate, which is good for $2 off each: http://www.alwaysachampion.com/pdfs/ChampRbt_0305.pdf

So the total after the rebate is $33!!

I think that the 7989's are Iridium plugs. If that's correct the rebate is $2.50 per plug.

I just checked at Champion's website. They are in fact a platinum plug rather than Iridium, so the rebate is $2.00 after all.
