Just did the change to RP 29600miles. I feel the difference on my stock shifter. A lot smoother particularly on 1-2nd change, which had been my most stiff change. Thanks a lot for the advise and the tips. It really made a world of difference.

133,000 miles on an '06?? Good Christ. My '92 Probe just hit 155k a couple weeks ago, lol. Can this method be used on an SN95?

Changed mine out to RP Synchromax yesterday (car has 61,xxx) and the first thing I noticed was a quieter tranny. I noticed the temperature is down too. The tip using the tubing was a BIG help...thanks moosestang .

Just changed the transmission fluid to Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF, at 55k miles. Thanks to this thread it was very simple and took me about 45 minutes, I was in no rush. The old fluid was very dark and at the beginning looked more like a used motor oil - I am glad I changed it. Talking about the shifts - they do SEEM a bit easier and a bit faster, but its not a dramatic difference. However, my guess that it will be more pronounced in cooler night temps of fall or spring. I already noticed how much the shifts improved when the temperatures hit 60s in the summer, and that was the stock fluid... Thanks everyone for posting!

I did mine today, I'm at 35800 miles or so, I'll call it 36k. Fluid was almost clear, not red.

Edit: I couldn't get the torque wrench up on the fill plug, so I just guesstimated... we'll see how that works!

Good'n tight is fine for the plug, unless you are Arnold Schwarzenegger.
