I'm making the switch to RP this weekend. I'm at almost 63K miles, tranny is noisy. I've got RP oil and Diff Fluid - may as well stay with them as quality has been great. I drive approx 60 miles a day, so I'll know if its an improvement pretty quick.

Just did the switch last night to RP Synchromax at 133,000 miles on the '06 Mustang GT manual tranny. The fluid looked fine. The dealers claim there is no maintenance schedule on the manuals. I'll be surprised if I can tell just by changing this fluid but we'll see. Moose's hose trick worked well. Also, once you pull that plug the fluid comes out like gang busters!!!

I think that the shifts feel smoother after the switch - you may notice the same.

Stang 5151 - Are you using the stock shifter or aftermarket?

Shifts might have felt smoother by just changing to any new fluid. I didn't notice smoother shifting, but the heat difference is night and day different.

Moosestang - I think you nailed it - I just did RP and for the life of me can't feel any difference - I do like that I'm getting a little better lubrication though - I have the Hurst shifter, not stock.
