Default 357 hp and 384lb ft

Does anyone read the "Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords? They have an article in there that has the 4.6 running at 357 hp and 384 torque. Now this is just the engine that they are playing with. They said that the engine is equipped with the stock exhaust an electric pump and the fast management system. They also go into saying that they were unable to change the variable cam timing during this dyno. Does someone understand what they did to increase this much power? This article is in the June 2005 magazine. They also said in last months article that these 3 valve 4.6 engines are greatly underated. Sounds very hopeful.

I didn't get to read the mag yet, but I don't know about underated. Most guys have been around 260's baseline dyno.

i think i know what article you are talking about and if it is the same one, there are two pages worth of mods they did to this car. It included gears, intake, programmer, ignition, underdrive pulleys, flywheel, exhaust, x-pipe, FMR shorty headers, and all other kinds of crap...the article i saw was where they added on a new aftermarket and dyno'd it 8 times and took the average of those numbers and just saw how much increase each bolt-on gave the car. I would hope that with all those bolt-on's you could get 357HP...hell, i got almost 320 at the wheels with my mods

I just changed my oil and my filter is located on the PASSENGER side of the engine.

Take a look at Page 91 in the NEW June 2005 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. (Yeah the pink issue with all the chicks in it) They have an article titled "Mods for three-valve Mods Part 1"

In all the pics in the article the oil filter is on the DRIVER side of the engine.?????

What gives?????? Anyone educated on this

Thanks for the info. I started reading up on electric water pumps and coil packs. I did not realize that there is much hp to gain from just those to mods. I am going to find out exactly what Fast management system they used with the engine. I'll let you know once I get a response.
