Default Predator Question

I plan to order a Predator and CAI tonight. Do I need to get the Xcalibrator as well or will the predator and the CAI be all I need to be up and running?

Thanks

Predator OR the Xcalibrator is all you need with the CAI. Both the Diablo Predator and the SCT XCalibrator are tuners and do the same general functions. The Diablo Predator will give you more tweaking power thant he SCT XCalibrator will. But if you are just going with a pre written tune supplied by the vendor and all you want to do is flash and drive, the XCalibrator is what you need. If you want to do more ( adjust timing, MAF curve, fan speeds and temp, axle ratio, and more ) then the Predator is all you need.

Sorry...I rambled. One or the other is all you need, not both.

Thanks. It just seems odd that the Predator is only $25 more, and it allows some adjustments. I guess the Xcal has multiple saves, and I don't think the Predator does(?). Any other real reason one should go with the Xcal other than a few bucks and another save or two?

The Predator also has multiple saves. I don't recall off the top of my head but I think is a least three maybe as many as five.

Honestly it depends on where you purchase at. I got my Predator for $339 including shipping.
Craig, the Predator will hold 5 custom tunes.
