Default Question Mod's mileage

I was told today by Performance Plus in Madison,Wis. that you should wait until you get 5,000 miles on your car before doingHew any performance Mod's. Has anybody else heard of this or did he just dream it up . He said the car should be broke in first.

The car is pretty much already broken in when you get it. There is a small break in period of about 1000 miles where you want to vary the engine speed but besides that, it's fine. I'd wait until 1k to do the mods.

Default RE: Question Mod's mileage

My dealer says that the car is ready to go from the factory. I still have a tradition of letting the motor and seals get use to my driving style before i modify my cars. Give it a 1000 or so miles and then have at it.
