End of Supercharger Saga - Dynotune from VMP

RE: End of Supercharger Saga - Dynotune from VMP
That's almost exactly what my car put down last month when we found the vacuum leak. I had them tune it down just to be on the safe side of the world.. Noises aren't good man, it's like harleys...Their noise causes **** to rattle loose...
ORIGINAL: AmericanSpeed
Well, the supercharger saga seems to have finally been completed. After buying the whipple HO kit, and having a myriad of problems with what sounds like detonation, and trying everything under the sun to get the sound to go away, we have finally come to the conclusion that this sound is not detonation.
I could write a novel on everything we tried but I won't bore you guys. Real Street Performance did a great job installing the kit and really taking the extra effort to try and figure out this rattle, at no extra cost. They are awesome guys and I would recommend them to anyone in the central florida area for work on their mustang.
So yesterday I took my car to Justin @ VMP tuning. He heard the noise and checked to see what was going on. We came to the conclusion that it does not seem to be detonation. Anyways, he dynotuned my car, and man, did we get some great numbers.
@ 10.2 psi, I made 498 rwhp , 478 rwtq. This was backed up with a pull of 497 rwhp, 473 rwtq right after. Dyno Graph Posted.
Other mods: lightweight flywheel, spec 2+ clutch, sypdershaft 1 piece driveshaft, MGW sts, CHE k-member brace w/ torque limiters, BMR adj LCA, steeda ultralite lowering springs, tokico D-specs, spohn adj panhard rod, BMR panhard rod brace, steeda rear sway bar, MT ET streets for the strip

Damn those GenII whipples are very efficient!!!!!!!!! great numbers. I put down 455 with the whipple tune and 465 with a custom tune on the Gen I whipple.....regardless need forged internals before I feel safe with numbers that close to 500RWHP. Not saying that it cant be done but I worry about my own car and others have proven to run more than 500 RWHP for quite some time.....and no issues (yet). Congrats[8D]
