I installed my cams about two weeks ago and dropped about 3 mpg's. 19 to high 15's. If anyone cant find the tools in stock let me know. I had to wait like 2 weeks for the valve spring compressor

Hammeron,
I only ever see the hotrod cams on supercharged cars that have Whipples. I want to use them or thumpers on a car set up with the V3 vortech. Is there a reason why they wouldn't work with a centrifugal?

hello yellowjohn, although i love my setup,
i don't recommend folks who are forced induction
to run the hot rods.

my personal favorite alternative at this time,
is the BBR stage II cam. people make nice
power with these and they are more boost
friendly.

check out some BBR stage II clips on you tube
and let me know what you think...

Hammeron, I have seen a lot of people warn about the BBR cams like they may be low quality. Have you heard different? I do like how they sound too. would they require valve spring job?

yellowjohn, i think the ones who have gotten
negative press were regrinds. just go with
non regrinds and you are golden.

i say call BBR in the morning, tell them
your setup and let's see if they give the
stage II's the green light.

they will tell you if you should do springs or
not.

hey hammer im going to be doing the cam install very soon, and i have a question, do the new cams have to be installed in the same position as the old cams? or is just the cam sprockets?

hey big marc, the new cam gets placed in
the same position as the old, because there
is a notch on the cam and it can only attach
to the sprocket one way.

so its kinda fool proof!? so the marks on the timing spocket that you drew will always line the cams back up to there original position?
