ordered the ford tools this morning...
ordered the cams and bolts from a dealer nearby for $800
just one question before i start it though is that i noticed hammeron that you used a box wrench on the damper to keep it from moving. I'm gonna be doing this job solo so i was thinking maybe if you put it in drive and have the parking brake on maybe that would suffice to keep it from moving???? assuming there's not much slack in the drive train.

hey nelias, i can see you have been thinking
through the procedure. all i can say is, test your
theory now, before starting the cam swap.
i did the job solo too... it's not hard to hold
the crank bolt, while breaking loose or torquing
the sprocket bolts.

when I broke the bolts loose on the cams I didn't even have to touch the crank bolt. I just bumped the wrench a few times and they came loose pretty easy without the crank even moving. Putting them back on I did have a hand on the crank bolt though just to make sure.
