Weight reduction?

Honestly, this is the same kind of thing as getting rid off the crash structures or running skinnies on the street. You won't notice it until you get in a crash where you will wish you never got rid of it. You won't really notice the sway bar until you need to avoid something like another car or a deer. If you are really that desperate to get traction, the risk is up to you.

it's not a desperation issue. The amount that 60' times improve without the front swaybar is astronomical compared to the chance you'll have to dodge a runaway deer. Even then, I've had to avoid some pretty close calls since I've deleted my swaybar, and I've never felt out of control.

In that article you read they also equipped that 06 Mustang with a $2000 set of Bogart welded R/T's and an expensive set of M/T ET Streets. Don't forget how much weight the Bogarts shaved off the front end. Oh yeah, and Justin Burcham was driving it too!

I just put my sway bar delete on last week, and honestly i cannot tell a difference. The car still handles great for not having it on. I was worried from what everyone was saying about how dangerous it was. After actually doing it, the people that say its bad must not have ever took it off. My car is lowered, maybe that helps me not notice much of a difference. Maybe it might feel totally different on a stock height vehicle. I say people that want to do it, do it. Saves about 25lbs and helps your 60ft

When I first got my TA it was lowered with the front sway bar links removed. While I will agree that you don't notice under most driving conditions, I did get in a situation where I needed to avoid a wreck happening in front of me. Needless to say the front felt very sloppy and the rear wanted to do something completely different than the front. Since I replaced the links it handles much better at the limit. Again, do what you like but if something happens like that you could very well end up missing it.
