You could get the tuner now to turn off the o2 sensors and get the CAI later. You'll just have to lay out a few extra $$'s for Brenspeed to write you an updated tune to include the CAI. At least you could install the X AND enjoy the extra punch from the tunes.

i can't believe this hasn't been touched yet but i'm quite positive you can't just borrow your buddies tuner if he's already used it.. it locks the tuner.. the only way you can use it is if its unlocked and the way to do that is to reset the stock tune back into the car.. now when you say grab a tuner, maybe you mean he has extra ones or he sells them but idk lol good luck with everything though

You are correct with using the tuner on another car. It can only be used soley on one car at a time. Once you plug a tuner to your car it will read/save your original tune and allow you to modify from there. It won't work on another car until the tuner is returned to that given car and the tune is returned back to the original tune hence-UNLOCKED.


Do not go the MIL eliminator route for the 07 and later stangs. I have an 07 and bought the mil's. It still threw the light for the rear O2's. I ended up returning the mil's and going with a U7145 Diablosport tuner. I have'nt looked back. Good Luck!
