And any thoughts on my post about the 3" exhaust? As long as its not a substantial loss in performance I'm going to go ahead with it because I have big plans for the future so it will need a 3"

I have JBA titanium coat ceramic shorties on my truck. I seriously didn't notice any difference in heat output from my manifolds. Longtubes may be a different matter.

IMO, the coatings are mainly cosmetic and I even have rust/discolortation showing through on the JBA's. I'd go with silver ceramic. it looks much better.

lol! I just read back through this post. I think what he meant to say is "what's the difference between ceramic coatings". I've never seen titanium steel headers before and they would probably cost >$5000. They have both "silver" ceramic and "titanium" ceramics, mainly due to the colors. The titanium ceramic is the top line, most expensive ceramic coating. It's an ugly gray coating but is supposed to reflect heat a bit better than the silver ceramic which looks MUCH better IMO.

And what I said in my last post, rust/discoloration showed through on my titanium ceramic coat header anyway...

The 3'' vs. 2.5'' is a question I first asked when the 3'' exhausts started to emerge. IMO, a 3'' pipe is a mistake unless you are pushing 800+ hp. Stick with 2.5''. You can always swap that out later, least of your worries right now.

And an article in "building 4.6 modular engines" publication tested 1 3/4'' vs 1 5/8'' header primaries. The 1 5/8'' header primaries made MORE power on an 800hp 4.6 4V engine. The dynos didn't lie.

The Titanium is a titanium colored ceramic coating. The difference between the Silver and Titanium is just the color. That said, I'd say the coating is worth it, and pick whichever color you like better.

There was a thread some where on here where somebody posted a link to a test with ceramic and ss headers and the diff in temp was so minamal that it could have been several diff things that affected it so IMO ceramic is not worth it as stated above his are rusting and discolored so what is the point really? The improved cylinder scavenging isnt going to make a noticable difference either, sure it very minimal aswell.

you can grab the BBK LT headers in chrome for $450 wich is a wicked deal IMO, I plan to get these then get them jet coated black.

As for the 2.5 versus 3" exhaust, you want the smallest diameter possible that does not restrict flow. The larger diameter pipe you have, the more surface area you have, which increases heat transfer. That increased heat transfer will decrease your exhaust temperatures, which decreases exhaust velocity, which actually increases back pressure.
