well the deinstallation is complete....it is
so much easier the second time around!

stock cams are back in, tomorrow i'll torque
everything up and put it all back together,
sunday will probably be the first test drive.

i'll miss my hot rods, there's no doubt about
that.

Don't worry, we'll still let you come to the frpp cam crew meetings.

But you have to bring the drinks!

hey Vcoat, i did everything i could....i even
gave my tuner, your tuners phone number.
the 2 tuners talked about what needed to be done,
but even after all that, a decent tune could not
be created for my car.

either Bill held back the important parameters, or
my tuner just didn't understand how these
cars work. either way, it is unfortunate for me.

Hammeron,

You should have pm'd me on one of the other boards I frequent more. I had Tillman Speed install the cams and tune the car. It wasn't easy at first getting the Hot Rod's to cooperate with the Saleen, but the guys there were able to get it working pretty good. I have an auto transmission and it may change some things, but my car idles really good in P or N and idles decently in D at a stop. I do know that after trying to tune for a couple weeks, Tillman took out the Comp Phaser Limiters and the car was a lot easier to tune. I was also told I am close to pegging the 90mm Lightning MAF. When you are ready to put them back in, give CR a call and ask him for some tips.

hey pumpkinfish, i'm very glad Tillman got your
car dialed in and now you can enjoy the
car the way it is meant to be.

i'm going to wait patiently for the tuning
community to share their tuning tips and
maybe someday, i can put them back in...
