Default Eaton Superchargers

So whats the deal with these?? I was looking over eBay and saw a few for less that a grand:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...Q5fAccessories

I'm assuming that numerous other parts are needed but why is something like a Saleen supercharger or Roushcharger 5/6 grand and this $500??

I couldn't really find a whole lot on them, searched the forum and found some older articles about these coming from Terminators and people with GT's buying them and not being able to use them so I figured I'd just ask.....

It's the stock blower off a gt500. People change to a whipple or kenne bell for more boost and power. Unfortunately making that blower work on a gt is cost prohibitive unless you can fab up your own intake manifolds and various other parts you'll need to mount it.

I've never seen or heard of anyone mounting one of these on the 4.6 3v. It's came off the 5.4L 4v.

I saw another one listed on eBay where they said they had used it reverse engineer their own supercharger so I figured it was just a cheap clone of something, as you can see from the one I listed there is very little information so I figured better to ask the experts.....

Tex that GT 500 Eaton supercharger will work on a 4.6 3v you can get the lower intake manifold from JDM along with the other suporting parts needed if you wanted to go that route.

Wouldn't be worth it, IMO.

You have to call them here is thier phone number talk to Jim D post back the cost of it and which lower manifold they said will work. If I remember correctly they said it was a TVS lower manifold for the GT 4.6 3v with the GT 500 Eaton sc.

With that head unit for $500.00 thinking you might be able to put a kit together for around $3.5-4K and of course remember the Eaton GT 500 sc is not a TS sc.
