which bolts for connecting an engine hoist
finally time to get back on the mod bandwagon again,
and get the block freshened up before going into the bullitt.
what size/grade/gauge/pitch/etc. bolts do i need to hook my engine hoist/ load leveler chains to the block??
thanks,
doc

Doc,
Honestly not trying to be a smarta$$...but for someone who looks like they've done a lot already to their car, and is about to embark on modding their engine, I would think you might have some basic knowledge of hardware. If not, there are plenty of references out there on the internet that that discuss shear and tensile strengths of bolts given all the different grades, pitches, and diameters. Grades of bolts determine yield strength of the bolts, while pitch and diameter will determine the stress area of a bolt. Unfortunately, in this day and age, it would be a liability for anyone to recommend a bolt, given they cannot see your set up, know the condition of your equipment, or the weights you are lifting. Furthermore, God forbid the "bolt" breaks, and you or your insurance company sues that person. Good luck in your endeavors.
