my original plan was to buy this mid-pipe, but then i decided to go with a pro-chamber with pypes mini cats spliced in. i have the pypes cats but now can't find a prochamber to save my life! they've been back ordered for a couple of months now. im considering just selling the pypes cats and buying the MRT unit. There is a youtube vid with a flowmaster a/b and the MRT h-pipe with cats. sounds really good....

OHYELLER what Mufflers you got along with your MRT Catted H? Do you have a sound clip/video? I would LOVE to hear it.

Heat shields? I haven't been using heat shields since 2007.

Ok - I knuckled under and bought the catted H. Hopefully I get it by Friday so I can install over the weekend. I will post a review afterwards.

The MRT h pipe is becoming very popular. We just did another install of a catted one yesterday. Customer really liked the sound , as I did too! The car has the American Flowmasters.

FYI - One great bonus with the MRT h pipe.... They have an additional O2 bung welded in!! No need to have a muffler shop weld one for a wide band Also, we have them on sale right now.

Man that's tempting I bet it would sound so beatiful with some Stingers..... is it smog legal? Chances are either way if I get a new mid-pipe this will be the one and eventually some BBK Shorties as well knowing me.

It took two days from order to recieve the pipe (MI to GA) via ground. I did the install this morning and it took about two hours, taking my time and not using air tools. Getting the car high enough probably ate up a good chunk of the time.

Overall the install was smooth. The passenger side collector bolts are PITA to get to, and per Taco Bills write up, taking the battery and tray out made getting at the front O2 sensor a piece of cake. A little bit of penetrating oil and some electrical tape on a swivel socket make getting at the collectors bolts much easier. I strongly recommend installing one pipe at a time to avoid fighting the damn thing. I did have to remove the front drive shaft safety loop from the transmission support, but that was no big deal.

It's amazing how much lighter the unit is compared to the stocker. The sound is very deep, a little louder at idle and really roars when you give it some gas. I was worried it was going to be obnoxious, but it's not. I haven't fully hammered it to see if the butt dyno tells me anything (streets were wet). Didn't notice much drone either.

No leaks, rattles or other problems and I love the deep muscle car sound. I really like the unit and would recommend it too anyone that doesn't want to go with an off-road set up.

Next mod is going to be a UCA/UCA brace... I've still got wheel hop issues despite having the LCA's - I don't think the stock Pirellis help much either.
