tap the cats with a dead blow hammer or rubber mallet and you want to hear a solid sound not a hollow one with vibrations of little pieces bouncing around inside.
That would be the only way i know of

I apologize about the double topic/thread. I just don't want to get pulled over for an emissions issue. I can barely afford the car as it is after losing my job. A fine is the last thing I need. Sorry.

Now,...I don't know how,..but all of a sudden, as if it happened over night, it sounds like it has long tube headers on it! What's interesting is that the change in the exhaust note/pulse is primarily coming out of the rear left exhaust pipe. Hey,...I ain't complaining because my stang sounds like the SVT COBRAS that I've drooled over since I was 14. However, I would love to know what caused such a dramatic difference in sound within such a short period of time.

To be specific, it's a louder growl within the midrange frequency.
Thanks guys.
Its a great sound isint it? lol, thats one of the reasons I ditched my s197 n got the bra.

cboisits,
No worries here brother! if your really worried about it swap on your oem axelbacks if you still got em. But i wouldnt worry too much. cats break in too and they can take a while. even muffs. i have no idea what inside the borla muffs but there is always a break in period in any muffs some even upto years...
Give your cats a tap with a dead blow like a said and let me know what it sound like or even better video tape it if your really concerned and we can let you know what we think.
As for your situation, keep positive and remember, finding a good job is now your job! Cant keep modding the car if you aint got an income.. Most work to live i work to mod.. blah gotta work on saturday.. OVERTIME
