Default Part number for Oil Filler Tube?

I was swapping out my valve covers and broke the little black plastic tab on my oil filler tube.

Anybody know the reorder part number?

Is that little tab even necessary or will it hold without it since it's a cam type connection?

North Charlotte. My neighborhood intersects with Speedway Blvd (I refuse to call it Bruton Smith Blvd).

I deliberately left off the filler neck when I went to the chrome valve covers. I thought it looked cheap. As mentioned, the cam lock design on the valve cover works perfectly with the stock or aftermarket oil caps (I have MGW one). The filler neck is really just a convenience, not a necessity.

The 09s do not use the extender. The cap fits directly on the cam cover.

I just removed my covers and took them to my powder coat guy for there "super chrome" treatmeant (Its still powder but looks like a deep chrome finish). Anyway while twisting the extender and barely prying on that little tab it broke right off without much force. I ordered a new one from my dealer (20 bucks) but i wish i could find a billet extender to go with the caps out there on the market. I just like the extender cause it makes it easier to get the oil in the engine rather than on it LOL.

When I painted my valve covers and TB, I left mine off and just put it directly on the cover.
