Default Email vs Canned tune

I know supposedly email tunes are better than the canned tunes. I have bamachip's tunes. Has anyone actually did a back to back dyno comparing an email tune from Bamachips, Brenspeed, VMP or Tillman to the SCT or Diablo canned tune?

The canned tunes don't take into consideration any mods you have in your car. With the email tunes, they are specific to your Mustang and the equipment it has. The email tunes are always better and give better performance.

Unless you have a custom dyno tune done IMO they are both a canned tune. Granted one takes into account all your mods you truly do not know how your car is responding to the tune and what changes might need to be made.

While a dyno tune is the best option, the difference between the canned 93 tune on the X3 and the email tune I got from Tillman Speed was NIGHT and DAY. I was actually shocked that it made such a difference. Its a great option if you are looking at cost - Tillman had theirs on sale for $49 during the month of January........glad I got mine.

I noticed a huge difference going from a Diablosport tune to a Bamachips tune.

If you go on Diablosport's forums, they will write custom tunes for certain mods. I've seen people request tunes with CMCV deletes before.

If you put on the CMCVs you must get a tune for the car to run right. It should throw a code if you don't.

I went from a 93 perfomance tune on the diablo to a 93 race from Bama with the mods listed in sig, and the difference was really big... Sorry no dyno to back it up, but you can tell a HUGE difference in acceleration, so good you dont need a dyno to know it is better. Untill the car is "done" with a FI system on it and no more mods going on the motor, I'm not going to put hundreds of dollars into a dyno tune. I dont have any deals or know anyone that works in the shops so I'm looking at like 500 or 600 for a dyno tune... So the bama tune will hold me for now.

I was just wondering if there was that much of a difference. I have read there is about a 6-12RWHP difference between the canned tune and email tune. I should have dynoed the canned tune just for the hell of it.
