I just wish I had the C&L and the tuner.

I'll take a New York Strip medium please.

By the way, that new K&N filter that resembles yours is it worth the beans? They said it will give you 15 more horses. Is that with a tune or without? They mention nothing about a tune? Do I need to save money for this C&L mod? Is it worth it? How much more do you feel when you get on it? Aren't we talking about 600 or 700 dollars extra for the mod and the tuner? I still pay child support, alimony and currently I'm serving a three day suspension without pay for an argument with a co-worker. I cursed and he didn't.

I didn't drive the car with just the CAI on it... I installed it and the Predator tune at the same time. And to me, it made a very noticable difference. And, from what I have read here so far, just about everyone who has installed a CAI & tune (regardless of the brands) has been happy with it. I didn't dyno it before/after, so I can't tell you what the numbers are, but it sure felt a lot stronger. I paid $645 for both of them, and it was worth it... to me. Money is a relative thing... 650 bucks may be a lot to some, but not much for others. For example, I have won (and lost) several hundred dollars in one hand of poker many times. In a way, cars are like gambling... never spend (or bet) more than you can afford.

Daniel, I believe the numbers for the K&N are without a tune but I have read several times (and it makes sense) that if you don't use either a flash tuner or dyno tune with a cold air intake your looking for trouble. I read somewhere that exhause temps were 2X as high with CAI and no tuner due to increased air flow with the same amt. of fuel which dosn't sound good for aluminum heads and block. If budget is an issue, I suggest the MAC setup or MMR is reasonable I believe, with either SCT or a Predator. The C&L dosn't show any more gains in hp than MAC or Steeda, your paying for the pretty looking intake. So for about $450.00 (shop around) you should be able to have a tuner and a high quality intake. And when the SCT II comes out (edit; oops, I just read it's already out in another thread), the current one should come down in price? As for results, the threads speak for themselves. As for that co-worker, put an ad in several publications stateing; MUST SELL: 2005 Mustang GT, 1,500mi, perfect condition, all options, performance mods etc.... $12,500 OBO and leave his home or office number. Sit back and LYFAO!

Thanks for the great information and I'm going to look into it. It's my wife I have to convince. You see I'm just like the NCMustangman, I received my as a gift for my birthday present last November. She thinks its good as is and its the **** no doubt, however you know us men we want more and more power all the time. Thanks for the laugh dude on my co-worker and appreciate you including that in your post it eases the pain. Right now I'm on my last day of suspension however tomorrow is my weekend but one thing I can tell you I have enjoyed the rest.
