Default Another Exhaust question

Hi folks

I did a search and found alot of good info, but I am looking for more specifics. I want to change the sound of my 100% stock (so far) 07 GT. I am looking for a good classic old school Mustang muscle-car sound.

Deep and throaty - no raspy or ricey sound
loud is fine inside and out
Added performance is a plus

What I don't want is a loss of mpg.

I plan to do a CAI later as well to help even more.

I put Super 40's on my g/f 04 Gt and it sounds ok and she likes it, but it isn't enough for me. What do you folks recommend?

I would say Magnapacks or MAC Axlebacks with the factory H-pipe will help you find that sweet spot...not too loud but def louder when you fire it up and at WOT

oh and muffler's shouldn't technically affect your MPG...they def affected mine because I like WOT so much that I was opening the beast up on every open road lol

If he is in Texas and wants to stay legal and pass inspection... headers is not an option.

You are looking at getting Boomtubes or Loudmouths.
Boomtubes a bit cleaner sounding and Loudmouths more classic muscle sound.
Magnapacks will NOT get you a classic sound, trust me I had them and took them off a week later.

Some inspection places will not even inspect you with Boomtubes or Loudmouths in Texas because there is a law saying you MUST have mufflers to pass inspection.
However... many places look over that rule. MANY, and you should have no real problem finding a place to inspect you.

Headers and removal of the cats will get you in trouble pretty darn fast though in Texas.

We have emission inspections here in NC too, and I just passed with no problems with my shorties.

I haven't been on a dyno, but I can tell that I gained a significant amount of torque.

I've never heard Corsa's in person, but the vids of them do not impress me at all. Reminds me of the sound of a toilet flushing.
