Default GT shaker hood question about rain...

Any problems from light to heavy rain with the shaker intake on the car? How good is the seal that it makes from the hood to shaker intake?

thanks a bunch

No problem at all so far. I actually went through a touchless car wash with it on, and the jets came around and sprayed right in the scoop. I got real nervous there, but nothing happened, drove out just like normal.

How does the water filter out?

It's hard to explain, but there are four drainage holes where the water drains down into tubes and away from the engine. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow. As for the scoop itself, water going into the scoop is prevented from going into the filter by several 90 degree angles in the tubing. The air forces the water against that angle, and it can't make the turn to go further through the tubing. Again, lol, hard to explain.

I go to the touchless car wash about twice a week, i have zero problems. The shaker has been worry free for me when it comes to hard rain also.
