Default 2007 Mustang GT HP HELP!!!

OK, here's the deal. I have (as stated) and 07 mustang GT with a manual transmission. Every thing is stock and i would like to know what can be done with out adding Turbos, superchargers or nitrous to take my car from its factory 294 whp to 400+ whp. i would like to fully keep up with an SRT8 challenger and the upcoming camaro. The only for sure thing i want to do is remove is the catalytic converters..... Aslo, and not to sound cheap, but i would like to not spend a massive fortune.

First off, we're rated 300 HP at the crank which equates to about 260 RWHP for the average bone stock GT, 270 if you have a beast that lays on the high side of average. Where did you get the 294 from?

Without getting into some significant internal mods and spending near what you would for FI, you'll be lucky to push 325 RWHP. Add some engine work and you might get close to 350 or so but that'll cost you $$.

A CAI & tune, UDP's, LT's, delete plates, gears, aluminum DS, cams and a few others and you'll be pushing into the low 300's. And then you'll need rubber and suspension to hook-up. The only way to break the 400 RWHP mark is to go FI. 400 RWHP is possible non FI but it would cost equal to or more than FI and still gain less.

The mods in my signature got me a 13.0 @ 107.44mph on stock street tires, didn't spend all that much either and thats on an email tune. I'm going to have it fine tuned on a dyno this summer and hoping to hit 12.8

Since you double threaded this, I'll repeat what I said in the Tech section...

Remember, with all that power, you are going to need suspension improvements as well to get it to the ground. CAI/Tune, UDP's, CMDP's, longtube headers, intake manifold, H/X Pipe are some things to start.

Sorry... but you do sound cheap. Add a supercharger if you want to compete with the Camaro and Challenger.

A stock SRT8 and Camaro both have a lot of power under the hood, but they also pack a lot of weight, which equates to a mid-high 4 sec. 0-60 time, and a 13.0-13.3 sec. 1/4 mile. Installing only bolt-ons and suspension components will make a lighter S197 GT as fast or faster than that, depending on the driver mod. But if they're modded, then you'll also have to do some internal engine mods to keep up.
