Anyone do an ultimate CAI showdown / comparo to find the CAI performance KING? :)
Okay, the deeper I dig and the more I search threads, the more CAI options I find!
Anyone do a comparison of ALL of the currently available options to determine which CAI is the performance king?
Here's my running list of CAI kits available:
I don't really have a preference other than wanting good quality and best performance advantage. Price doesn't matter, they're all within a decent range of a couple hundred dollars from one another. I already have an SCT tuner unit as well, so that's not a factor.
One thing I will say is that I'd really be curious about locating the air snorkel somewhere cooler than the engine compartment, or if that's not possible on an '07, what about a duct from down below that pushes the cold air up into the filter? Not going to remove a headlight, so don't say it.
Thanks for your help, guys. Really appreciate the guidance.

That mustang50magazine.com comparison seems silly to me. JLT got a 27.9 HP gain and came in second to the C&L (25 HP gain) because of looks?
None of that other garbage means anything to me. HP at a decent price was all I wanted. My JLT was like $550...cheaper than the C&L and more HP.

that article is very old and outdated really.
Honestly for 90% of the modders out there IT DOES NOT MATTER. Get the one you think looks best. For people that have done internals/sc etc then you might benefit with a larger MAF (steeda, CL racer, jlt, airaid). So for you i would choose one of those 4, again based on looks because the difference between those is not making too much difference.
