Default h pipe or x pipe??

i know this question has probably been beat to death , but i am intrested in getting a off road pipe (no cats) and wondering if it will make my car a little louder? i have magnaflow mufflers and like the sound just want it louder. what is the difference between the x and h pipe in sound. and does anyone have this on their car? also will the flash programer take care of the codes ,with the removal of the cats.
thanks!!

here is a video... i have the magnaflow setup as well with dynatech longtube headers and a catless x pipe. this is before the SC, so it gives you a good idea of what you will sound like...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo7SXio2Qf8

x pipe generally more hp and h pipe generally more tq... difference in sound, this is opinion based but i think the h pipe's have a much raspier or throaty feel to them. (they sound bad a$$)... the x pipe is a lot cleaner in tone...

im not sure if just the stock programmer will take care of an engine light seeing that two of the o2 sensors need to be turned off... everytime I have had my car tuned, the list of modifications is usually asked for so they take care of it for me... so cant really help you there...

i had understood that the x gives more power than the h pipe.
and the h pipe sounds better but lacks some of the power given by the x.i personaly just had an o/r x install and i love the way it sounds.

I have had both and the off road H has the best sound IMO!! If the off road X does have more HP it will only be about 2 to 3 HP over the H-pipe. Not enough to sacrifice the sound you want.

a tune from brenspeed will turn off your rear o2's to take care of any codes thrown if you delete your cats

Is that what you did? Did you have to pay $75 for a new tune if you already had a Brenspeed tune for an intake/etc?

if you allready got a brenspeed tune your o2 censors should be turned off allready.call them and ask them if they can check if your censors are turned off in the tune.i called them twice before i purchase the x pipe from a local shop just to be sure, its going to be two weeks since i install my x pipe and no cel so far.

Dumb question

If y'all are removing your cats - how are you passing inspection?
