A higher insurance rate and higher gas prices were something that I accepted when I bought the 'Stang, (again).. of course, I was already putting premium in my WRX for 4 years by then...

That is a sweet car Dude.

From research, I found that the Predator tuner has custom tunes that get you extra horsepower out of the premium fuels. Also, I saw claims that on the RPMOutlet website that the CAI with Predator will get you up to 26/27 HP. My assumption was that some of this HP was due to the higher octane tune, while the rest was due to just the CAI. So, what I want to know is how much HP do you get if you use the CAI with 87 octane. Has anyone done a dyno with this setup? I hope I am making sense here.

Alright don_w, I think you have me convinced. Once I get the Predator, I will probably bite the bullet and flash it to 93 octane.

I was really attacted to the fact that the Mustang was designed to run on 87, unlike some of the ricers out there. So, it made me a little reluctant to pony up the extra $$. But if it gives me more horses, I'll do it.

Thanks for the compliment, Daniel60.

The Mustang was designed to run on 87, but that is from the factory. Once you start making modifications with aftermarket parts to enhance the vehicle, it is no longer the same specifications as a stock Mustang and the factory design constraints no longer apply.
