My dealer has pushed out my 2006 xplan GT coupe to around January now !!

Do you think this is reasonable ?

Ive found two 2005 coupes locally now, one black, one torch. Love the torch but its cloth interior and im not sure that works for a mustang

Still confused, the date keeps on getting pushed back. Do you guys think im ever likely to see my 2006 xplan ?

Should i grab what appears to be the last remaining 2005's ?

January?!?! It sounds like he's putting you on the back burner because of the Xplan. Shop around...

I *HAD* Xplan... dealer denied it and I paid MSRP.

It is so hard to wait, it is up to you if you really want the 06. I would wait, I think it would be worth it.

When you ask for X plan, you are basically asking a dealer to forfeit the profits on a HOT selling commodity! I have Xplan too, but paid $400 under MSRP to get one on order. Bummer, but that is life. They want their profits, and i can't say as I blame them, times are very tough in the car bizz!! So if you wait, it will be till the production gets high enough to satisfy demand, and as hot as this car is, i chose not to gamble. I want one, and i want to be sure and have it when the snow melts in march. I ordered my 06 on June 21st, and i didn't order anything special, so it would get built at the first opertunity.

I hate to say it, but I think its whats happening to me. But I was told origionally before order was ever placed, dont expect it until the 1st of the year. Maybe it will come in sooner and hes tryin to look like the good guy. I am aware of only 2-3 other 06 orders in front of me, and those are 05's that had to be reordered as 06. Or hes giving himself leway to sell a few at msrp between my order.
Im fine with waiting, it gives me more time to decide what I want to do with the car, and more time to save up some more cash. And see some quirks get worked out.

In fact on my way in this morning I see the dealer next door to me has a black GT out front. for a few thousand dollars 3-5k Ill wait a few months

My dealer told me it would be about Dec / Jan for my car.

Alot other waited 6 months for thier 05's so this seems normal for the 06 orders to take just as long.
Or the dealers know what happened with 05 orders and are preparing the 06 people for the long wait.

We havent ordered yet but we were told it would be 4-6 weeks for deliv on an 06 GT, didnt sound right then either.
