FRPP 62MM TB
#21
Can this be accomplished with a flash tuner? I'm stationed in a remote place, there is NO dyno here, and I'm hesitant to apply any mods without some sort of support stateside for tuning...this is something that I was looking at as well it looks nice and a few extra mm of air intake never hurt anyone Any inputs?

Oh, don't think I'm not still watching you guys *insert evil laugh* talking cars has taken a back seat to working on them. By the way - how much to paint the ol classic vert? Finding someone competent is harder that one would think

I just installed one on my 2008 Shelby GT conv, and updated the tune from Steeda. It really feels like it is pulling a lot harder. Although the FRPP tech line said it would not add any real HP gains, it sure feels like an extra 10 HP were added by the "seat of the pants" dyno.
Question - I did update the tune for the change from the stock 55mm to new FRPP 62mm throttle body, but I did not calibrate the new FRPP TB. I assumed that since it was all assembled, that FRPP did the calibration when assembled to match the output for the 55mm TB voltage. Does anyone know for sure?
I have driven it a few times over a distance of 15 miles or so each time, and no problems and no "check engine" light, but I want to be sure I'm not messing something up in the process.
thanks,
Andy.
