Default Roushcharger info

hey does anyone know if or is anyone running the roushcharger that puts out 435hp 400 trq(adds 135 hp and 80 trq), if you can get more hp and trq than that? i wouldnt mind putting the roushcharger on my car but i want more out of it than that. can i add parts such as headers, exhaust, different tune? the reason is because i can get a great deal on the roushcharger so thats why im asking if theres anything else i can do to increase the ho and trq. thanks

I have a Roush 427R and it is modified. I make custom pulleys for the Roushchargers and I have the 2.57" pulley installed right now. That is the smallest size that will fit on the M90. I also have a Steeda cold air intake and FRPP hot-rod cams and a custom tune. My car made 443 rwhp and just under 400rwtq the last time it was on the dyno.
The only other way to get a little more out of the Roushcharger is to add an overdrive crank pulley. This is a bit overkill because you generate a ton more heat. I am thinking about adding methanol injection to mine to get a bit more power and reduce intake temps.

Yes you can upgrade the blower pulley, put on exhaust etc... they are upgradeable however you will need to find a tuner, Roush will not send you re tunes for aftermarket parts.

Save your $4,000. and look for a used blower.
Used Saleens can be had for $4,000-$4,500.

Here is a used Whipple for $4,200.

vortechs are cheap and make good power. but if you really want something else, you should wait and get what you want.

Don't get the Roushcharger, it's a weak-sauce blower. Roots have the worst thermal efficiency of all blowers, however the TVS is much improved. They get put on factory cars because they are reliable.
