And here I am debating on spending less than 1k on stuff I have been wanting for quite some time and have the cash for. I wish (not really...) my brain would let to spend 10k on my car in a blink of an eye on a new car because some friend of mine has a faster ride. Yikes.

Stick with the general feedback; slow it down a few hundred MPH and figure out what you realistically want in the mid-to-long term before you do/buy something you'll regret.
