Default Audio Head unit no power HELP~

Hi I have 2008 mustang gt with regular stereo (not shaker 500 or 1000) and today after work my stereo head unit ha no power. its just black, no clock display or anything. it was working fine in the morning but then suddenly after work i was dead. any ideas or thought will be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

Have you checked the fuse(s)? Here's a link to the shop manual. Even if it doesn't cover the '08 specifically, the wiring hasn't changed too much. You'll need to dig your way down to the wiring diagrams.

thanks nuke for the information. i followed the link and checked the fuses and they seemed fine. but when i was turning my key to power the was a clicking noise coming from the fuses on the kick panel compartment. is something shorting out?

The clicking noises are just your relays operating inside the fuse panel. Normal condition. With it being an 08, I'd take it back to the dealer and have them fix it under warrenty

There are more than one fuse for the stereo.
Did you check them all?
Owners Manual for the fuse #s and location (SJB/BEC).

yeah i checked all the fuse tooked the car to my mechanic and had him check all the fuse too, every fuse was fine every single one of them. going to take it to the dealer first thing tomorrow morning. thank all for the replies.
