Question Aftermarket Shifters

Well it's almost Christmas time, and I've been thinking about what to get my second girlfriend (the mustang). A short-throw shifter is at the top of my list of things to get, so I was looking for some advise from people who have them installed in their S197. I am leaning toward the Pro 5.0 and shifter **** combo from AM, but with the searches I've done on here and elsewhere, they don't seem to be popular in the S197 crowd. Am I wrong in assuming that? What other shifters would you suggest? I don't really like the styling of the Hurst old school look. I've driven Shelby GT's with them, and aren't a huge fan. Any suggestions or experience would help. Thanks

I am in the search as well, so no real world experience...have heard nothing but good things on the MGW short throw shifter. That is the direction I am leaning. It is a bit more expensive, but everyone says it is more than worth it.

I have a Pro 5.0 it works fantastic wouldn't trade it for anything else. Had a Hurst first looks great but was never crazy about how it worked.

Default Shifter

MGW, quite simply the best. Nothing else comes close. Worth every dime.

I am personally fond of the Steeda sport shifter. It is shorter that stock buy just as smooth in throw. It has shifts stops as well. The Tri-ax does have a shorter throw but is knotchier like the hurst.
