Default Aluminum driveshaft vibration

I know this topic has been covered on previous threads, but my recently installed driveshaft vibrates so badly that I'm not sure my problem has been addressed. Basically the entire car vibrates horribly and is unbelievably loud, even at low speeds. 4.10 gears were also installed at the same time. No problem previously with the stock driveshaft. The car is lowered but an adjustable third link was also installed to deal with that.

The car is going back to the installer Monday morning. Any thoughts? Thanks.

What of DS do you have? I just got my shaftmasters install yesterday and I am loving it. I would say it says slightly more vibration on the actual pedal (slight) but overall a smoother ride. Maybe your shaft was dropped in shipping or just not made/installed well. I dont notice any noise either, thats probably your gears whining.

I have the Shaftmasters. Zero vibration up to 125mph - dont know beyond that.

Sorry you are having this trouble. Perhaps it was damaged or not installed correctly.

It is made by Coast.
I don't think this is gear whine - the whole interior feels like it is shaking apart and all the plastic trim will come loose (and some of it has). It is a very loud noise, car is just about undriveable. I'm taking it back to the installer tomorrow.

Wow, sounds like your ds is hitting something or not even bolted up tight. But you might have got a horrible gear install too. Id say it all needs to be checked out.

+ 1

seems like the pinion angle would have to
be way out of tolerance, for this kind
of vibration

Installer told me pinion angle set properly (-1, I think he said?). The adjustable third link was installed just for that purpose.
I'm wondering if the driveshaft is badly out of balance.
Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow when I take it back to installer for another look. I'll have the stock steel driveshaft put back if he can't fix the vibration.

Probably just need to rotate the driveshaft 180 degrees. It was probably not properly marked up during installation (see TacoBill's DS write up).
