i wish i would have got the bassani system now. you live and learn though. when i was at the dyno shop the guy told me to go with the jba shorty headers. said there is only a small ( not even 10 horsepower ) difference. i want to do the charge motion plates and electric water pump first, if i can find someone who has done it already and says its worth it.

I have a Meziere electric water pump installed, the dyno showed 11+HP on top. I didn't install the Steeda CMCP after seeing a dyno run on a car equiped with the same Steeda CAI and custom Diablo tune as I have. That car showed as much as 8HP above 3,500RPM and a slight torque loss below 3,500RPM. I figured for the torque loss I was not really interested, yet.

if there is no horsepower difference then why does it matter? i just got my car off the dyno and it put down 288rwhp, 301rwtq on just the tune. with the 100 shot of nitrous it belted out 354 and 398 at 6200 rpm. changing from the motorcraft plugs to the autolite ht1 was worth 5hpand almost 10 ft lbs. wow is all i can say. i am going to try to make it to the track tonight. hoping for low 12s with the gear change drag radials.

hawgman, the plugs i got are from carquest. they are autolite ht1, stock replacement. i couldnt find a colder plug either, thats why we only put a 100 shot to the motor. i thought motorcraft and autolite was the same, but the autolites were 7.00 cheaper and i have never had a problem with anything i put them in. so until ngk steps up, go with the autolites its worth the 80.00. what nitrous system are you using? mine is zex.

hey f1fan, i went ahead and bought the water pump. i hope it holds up down here in the south, this car isnt my daily driver though. but man is it fun. from what i have been told about the charge motion plates, it makes a big diff in throttle response. im going to do them and the bbk throttle body at the same time then take it back to the dyno. if i could get some cooler plugs, i would like to shoot another 25 horse to it. thanks for the info
